Grind Time heavy hitter and YouTube celebrity Dumbfoundead called in to discuss what he’s been up to since the last time he battled, when he will battle again, his various musical endeavors and why it’s important to educate the childrens & pass down classic hip hop to the new generation of fans who may be in the dark about the lineage of the music they are listening to. This interview was conducted live via skype and on TinyChat with hundreds of DFD’s fans so there are times he addresses question from the chatbox directly, sorry if it causes any confusion.

Here is the music video for the Rollin Rockers first single off their debut album “Bang!Bang!”, “Molly Ringwald”.

This video is extremely polished and goes well with the song. I could definitely see this on MTV/BET. That is, if either of those networks played music videos anymore.

Lush One and Plex Rock The Rollin Rockers came on the show last night (6/13/10) for what I thought was going to be a relatively short interview to promote their upcoming debut album “Bang! Bang!”, which drops on Everready Records June 16th (this Wednesday). Over an hour later these guys were still as energetic as when the interview began. Needless to say these two dudes from Oakland, CA are extremely hungry and ready to take the hip-hop world by storm with their first release as the Rollin Rockers.

We discuss the unique format in which they are releasing their new project, a little bit of their history together as a group, dating back to when their crew encompassed over a dozen members and just about everything else we can think of. Also for the Grind Time fiends; Plex Rock makes A MAJOR BATTLE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR GRIZZLEMANIA, which is sure to get the internet buzzing.

If you want to see the Rollin Rockers live, your in luck! They will be touring North America all summer long on The Warped Tour as part of Grind Time’s contingent of beasts that will be representing hip hop on this years incarnation of the long running punk rock festival. Other hip hop artists that have performed at past festivals are Atmosphere, Eminem, Sage Francis and Gym Class Heroes among others.
